  1. I am totally psyched by the week. I think that the furnishings will make for great decorating. There's still enough cool looking stuff to decorate without cash shop items. I decorated my room this week with no CC items. I think I can do that next week too. What I do is buy one or two CC items a week instead of the whole lot. Then my CCs go further, and I have my favorite cash shop items without having to have everything.
  2. I have decided to go with a Narnia type theme. This is the inside of Tumnus' house. He's probably my very favorite Narnia character.
  3. I just logged into the game to check some stuff and I got a message from a brand new friend. She posted an in game message to me that basically said: The mayor's house looks lame compared to yours. I started giggling and couldn't stop. I never thought that my house was so grand, but it seemed that the mayor was only interested in showing off the 'cash shop' stuff instead of really being creative with the items. That has positively made my day.
  4. I only do it if I find a ton of animals on one outing. Otherwise, I don't bother.
  5. Thanks for letting everyone know. Bumping up as I think this is really a great reminder.
  6. We shall soon know. I hope it won't be rocket science to get the new garden, but something tells me it will be something where we have to log in each day.
  7. Just to let you know, Kokonee made it home safely and we will probably be picking some photos to post in the coming days. Something more than just my wild hair day.
  8. I believe that you click on each post you want to multi quote, and then at the bottom of the screen click on 'post reply'. I think that's how it's done.
  9. It actually reminded me a bit of Narnia. I really love Narnia and hope they will do a theme for it, even though it's rather similar. I am not a Lord of the Rings fan, so to me the name is cool.
  10. The trees are great. I have several empty plots because they don't fit with my garden themes. One is a Japanese / Asian garden and the other is a German / European garden. I may change them soon, but I love them so much it's hard to change something that one has worked so hard on.
  11. I am planning to use the new garden to plant some rare trees. Bought the limited tree today and really can't wait to plant it. But, I'm waiting for the new project so I can.
  12. My guess is the pets in a globe and the golden teddy are the most valuable, but I don't know how trading is, and i stay away from TOF because I think that the whole bag ruins the game. I also know that the moment I got away from people who hacked the game, it became a lot more fun to me. My stress levels went down, and I was able to work towards the things I wanted instead of getting them unethically. I have the feeling that most of the regular coin stuff is of no interest to people because there are so many items and they are repeating themes with, often times better items. I wish they would come up with more themes like this week. I am not a 'Lord of the Rings' fan, but I really like these items.
  13. My husband and I started playing movies. We got some great recommendations from Kokonee while she was here. So, this is a thread to post the movies that you have watched recently. What did you think of them? Were they anything you expected? I'll start with the two movies that I watched yesterday and today. Yesterday's movie was 'Alice in Wonderland', which was a huge surprise to me. I loved it. I am shocked by that because, as most of you know, I am not a fan of Johnny Depp, and was never into the Pirates of the Carribean films. I wasn't thrilled with that stuff on PS, so I didn't anticipate liking this film either, but I did. Alan Rickman did one of the voices and I can't resist him. If velvet could talk it would sound like him. swooon! The Cheshire cat was cute and cuddly and I wanted to hug him even if he wasn't the huggable type. So, that was a very nice surprise. Even Johnny Depp's portrayal of the Mad Hatter was rather good (a thousand times better than his Willy Wonka, which totally creeped me out ---particularly in the German version ugh). I was really impressed with this portrayal of the character. Maybe because I have always considered Johnny Depp to be a bit crackers, so the role was perfect. Hehehe. Of course, I loved the overall premise of that story, to be true to yourself and not be afraid to be who you are. I liked that a lot. So, two very enthusiastic thumbs up for that film. My favorite bit was when he walked across the table to greet her. Classic Mad Hattery at its best. I actually bought the film because Anne Hathaway was in it and I loved her in The Princess Diaries. ~~~~ The movie I watched today was 'Groundhog Day' with Bill Murry. I had never seen that movie before today, and I thought it was so funny to watch how his character changed throughout the film. I especially cracked up when he kidnapped the groundhog. That bit was so funny. Not much else to say about that, but loved it and thought I would share with you all what movies we have been watching. Tomorrow I am going to watch 'Leap of Faith'.
  14. I can't think of anything, but I love cats, so if you want more, just holler or send SB requests. Those are always fun and I generally use the love idol on them.
  15. Definitely with you on that. I hate the whole thing because unless I write down a mailing address when I get a message then it's lost. I already lost real life postage because of address issues. So, leave it as it was.
  16. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhh. Okay, I'm awake now. Listen everyone, we need to wake this place up. I know that it seems like there is not a lot of action around here lately, people have final exams, and real life is a pain, but PSFC is still alive and we need to work together to make sure that everyone who has ever posted here should have a reason to come back. So, let's get active and post. I know that a lot of times people are motivated by prizes and stuff, and I wish I had some neat-o PS goodies to offer, but as it stands I don't have much of anything. Besides that, the true reward should really be that this forum continues to grow and prosper. So, spread the word, let your friends know that we are here and ready for fun. Okay, now that I got that off my chest...let's turn this around. Start new threads, try to refrain from spamming, but there must be some exciting things to chat about. After all, 'summer's here and the time is right, for dancing in the street!'
  17. Sometimes people's subconscious mind has a tendency to pick up on things that the conscious mind doesn't really understand. It's normal, I sometimes feel that way too.
  18. yeah. I just have to get over this headache. I guess that means that I have to come to Portland in conjunction with a Shoe Suade Blues concert.
  19. Happy Birthday Lea75!!!! Here's wishing you, the head of the PSFC family a wonderful day!!
  20. Do you guys remember a few weeks ago when I came on the forum and was completely estatic? I had just learned that Peter Tork was planning to do some performances in Germany after the Monkees concerts ended? Well, what I thought was some gigs around Germany actually equated to one gig that might as well have been on the dark side of the moon! So, here's the long and massively heartbreaking story. On Friday, after Stas and her husband left for Cologne, I was nursing Sven back to health and sometime during the early evening hours, we got a message through the Peter Tork page on Facebook saying that Peter was flying to Germany to perform before heading back to the States to start the North American leg of the Monkees tour. What I thought would be late July early August when he would come turned out to be THIS WEEKEND! Since his 'official' page had no information on the gigs or where they were going to be, Sven and I started doing the leg work. Along with my friend Tam, we started storming Google looking for information. When we found it, I realized that my dream of seeing Peter in concert or meeting him wasn't even going to happen. The place where he was to perform is clear on the other side of the country and was sold out back in January. The official pages outside of Facebook had no information. I checked his official page, and it had all the tour dates listed...all but this one! There was no information about it, and so we posted our findings on the Facebook page, and I asked if there were any plans for Peter to perform in Germany this year, and they said 'not that we know of'. The blurb that was posted about them performing in Germany was alluded to on May 2, some 4 months after the tickets for the gig in question had sold out. Sven said that we could have driven to the venue in the hopes of crossing paths with Peter, but this place is near the Czech border, some 400 Kilometers (200+ miles) from here. I'm completely gutted! Last night, I cried my eyes out. I know that it seems trivial, but this was the one thing that really made me happy about the summer months. Now, there's really nothing for me to look forward to. So, along with not even knowing what the future will bring, I have this to add to what seems to be an endless list of utter disappointments. My friends leave on Monday, and all I can think of is 'what next?' On top of that, I have another stupid migraine.
  21. Will try and get a PM sent sometime today. NIce competition.
