Just to let everyone know, the man who plagiarized his Doctoral thesis quit his post today. I am relieved...but it is about time.

She has tried to be polite, she has even given Hideeni treats when he stops in to visit, but her bedroom is now off limits to that Masher. She has tried asking Kasi to help, and Hideeni seems to have refused to listen. He still shows up in her bedroom. So, drastic action has been taken. She hated to do it, but enough was enough.

I bless when my friends ask me to. There are some that I bless every day, but if I am short on time, then I will bless every other day. My cat got in because of a glitch. I call her my babysitter, but I haven't tried to get any other cats into the nursery.

Hi everyone, this isn't really about anything personal, but it is something that has just bothered the beejeebers out of me and I need to rant about it. Remember back in December when I came on here and told you all about this girl on the fan fiction site who swiped my ideas and used them as her own? Well, along those same lines, I have to completely vent about someone else who did this. I don't know if anyone here follows the news, and this may not be a big deal anywhere else but in Germany. First of all, a bit of background as to why it grates on my nerves. My husband has his Ph.D. in Chemistry and knows first hand how hard it is to write a dissertation. He is a very intelligent man, and graduated at the top of his class (with honors). He has carried the doctor title since long before we met. He completed his doctoral thesis in 1991 and he did it completely honestly. Just last week in our news, or Defense Minister (of all people) released a book with his doctoral thesis. 400 plus pages, of which 67 percent of it turned out to be plagiarized! It's been proven, in fact, some of it was directly copied from the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (Conservative Frankfurt Newspaper). The news program here even showed a copy of the article and the page from the 'thesis' to people on the street and they confirmed, it was the very same text (with small alterations). When I was at the university, if someone was suspected of and proven to have plaigerized someone else's work, then they would have been expelled from the university and any titles or awards would have been revoked. So why is this not happening here? Is it because this guy is well known or popular? Anyway, there is now a big 'to do' about all this being a political attack by his opponants and arguments that he is such a 'nice guy'. The woman who was defendin him on TV last night was just as big of a swindler as he is. She took part in ballot box stuffing for goodness sakes. Birds of a feather flock together it seems. This just makes me so angry. As a writer, I have always tried to be considerate of other writers, and I know for a fact that it took my husband 3 years to write his doctoral thesis. So, what is the deal here? Why does this guy get preferential treatment and his thievery is dismissed because he's a 'nice guy' or 'did a good job as defense minister'. Well, there are probably other people who have done similar things who got totally raked over the coals for it. What sort of example does this set for kids? That it's okay to steal someone else's written work so long as one doesn't get caught for it? This totally devalues not only the work that my husband did, but it pretty much says that plagiarism is okay so long as one doesn't get caught. The more I think about this, the angrier I get.

I don't like dogs. Ugh, you have no reason to feel guilty, it's this 'friend' who unloaded her dog on you who should feel guilty. I would feel lied to and violated by this, especially if it is scaring Phoebe. Your 'friend' needs to come and pick up her dog and not give you any hassles about it. If worse comes to worst, let her clean up the wee on the floor. That's just so not right.

I wanted to send Xavier a blueberry tree since my husband just loves blueberries, but now there's a one in five chance of him getting it and I am not keen on buying something and sending it only to find out that it is not what I intended.

So glad it got there safely. I sent it just before we went to the Gregorian concert, so two teddy bears sent or delivered in the same day. Here's a photo of my Facebook friend Richard and his teddy bear. I so enjoy making teddy bears for friends who will love them. It touches my heart that you like the teddy so much. Hugs.

I know, I want to send gifts and can't. Crashes and such. I think Facebook's new additions (specifically the photo one) are a mistake. Ugh. But, it's monday, so as garfield would say. I hate mondays.

The fact that the berry bushes are ccs really irks me. Ugh. But, it would seem that the Hubby is into this theme. He's singing, Old McDonald had a farm, e-i-e-i-o. I guess we got a winner for him.

They took away the refresh. Now I'm really upset. Edit: it still works on the regular computer, not on the laptop. OKay, I'm only half miffed. Hehehe.

The problem I had with that was most times I wanted to copy the url so I could post it here. Not being able to do that was a pain. So the refresh option actually works better for me. But, other options are good.

Make sure you click on the picture and go into the 'black screen' bit before refreshing. You have to do it each time, but it's better than staring at the black screen. I guess they wanted to do it like a slide show, but I couldn't copy the photo urls from that crazy bit. That's why I hated it. If I wanted to post a photo from my page here, I had to post the thumbnail...ugh. Now, I can post pictures again.

If you're like me and totally loathe the new Facebook picture display. There is a way to bypass it. If you are on Firefox, the easiest way to bypass the ugly picture issue is to use the refresh button at the top of the browser and it will automatically go back into the old picture display. If you are on other browsers and refresh doesn't work, try hitting F5. On firefox the F5 doesn't work, but according to some of my FB friends, that works pretty well. I guess it's a lot of hit and miss, but I am sooo overjoyed that there is a way to get away from that new feature...because I don't like it. Hehehe, cheers.
