  1. You didn't murder your dog. You made a decision that a lot of pet owners make. It was the humane decision, and my hat goes off to you for having the courage to do what is best for you four legged friend. Give yourself some time to heal and when you are ready for another dog, you'll know. Blessings.
  2. Okay, I'll probably make an appointment to see the doctor this week, just to make sure. I also wasn't sure when women generally went through menopause, I always figured it ws mid 40's, and I just turned 40 last year. So, it could explain a lot. I'll talk to my doctor about it nonetheless. I did sleep well last night, no memories of strange dreams, so it may all boil down to the time of the month, and stress.
  3. I would hope that my friends who do have kids would never think ill of me for not having kids. There's a very personal reason as to why I chose not to have kids, that I don't want to go into here (it'd bore you silly). But, I think that it's wonderful that your friends realized that you didn't change after you had kids, Lisa, that's how it should be. I think younger people in general don't adapt to changes very well. In all fairness, I didn't adapt so well either. It's not to say that it's right or wrong, it's just the way it is. To many people change in a person's life is something they don't want to deal with. On a personal note, when I was 20, my father was diagnosed with cancer. His illness and eventual passing was massively difficult for me. I was hanging out with a group of girls I went to college with and soon after his diagnosis came down, they started avoiding me. I guess they didn't know how to deal with it. We never talked about it, and even though today they are friends with me on facebook, I don't say much to them and they don't say much to me. Sad but true. Talk to your friends, it's probably the best thing you could do.
  4. I hate that these so called GMB items resell so cheap. It's like the digging site for the so called 'rares'. Is it me or are they just throwing in outdated junk that they honestly think people would use their free blue shovels for? Most of those 'lost treasures' should probably stay lost.
  5. When you come, Stas, we can have a Muppet Show Marathon, I have the first three seasons on DVD. Want to get season 4 eventually.
  6. Okay, this is weird, but for the last four or five days, my body has been feeling weird. I can't really explain it, but there are moments when I feel nauseous, and then I feel hot. I don't want to say hot flashes becuase I am probably too young for menopause. But, this is just weird. I started thinking that it may be because of stress and how stress has a tendency to do wacky things to a person, but I can't really figure it out. My stomach feels weird, my head hurts, and I am sometimes thinking about wacky stupid stuff. Like the issues of being estranged from my family. On top of that, for the last three nights or so I have been having some very strange dreams. Like one night, I was homeless in London, and on another night, I dreamt about a friend I had back in high school. It's just been weird. What is up with me? Is the whole job thing starting to do a number on my body as well as my head? I hope Sven finds work soon, I am feeling like I'm on a strange ride, all of which goes uphill. Please hope for both of our well being that something comes soon. I don't know how much more wacko weirdness I can take.
  7. We have craft circles here, where people get together and do arts and crafts. That's usually a ladies thing. But, we also get together with friends either at their places or here. One of us makes a salad, the a dish, some bring drinks and others bring a dessert. It's sort of a potluck kind of thing, but it's fun, and it's not very costly. Afterwards, we play board games, or watch movies. There are things that folks can do that don't cost a ton of cash, it's just a matter of communicating. Hope things work out with your friends.
  8. I still love the lines from the two old guys. 'What did you think of the fair?' 'I've seen better faires on the bus.'. For some reason that always cracks me up.
  9. I had to post this because of the talk about a lute. So, this is for anyone who loves bad puns, but good music.
  10. Lute, it's like a medieval guitar. Always think of Paul Simon in the Muppet Show. I'm going to find that bit and post it to music, always cracks me up.
  11. I hate to brag, but I found Lute number 2 this morning. I gave it to my husband's pet, Xavier. That's why I removed him from my signature. Then if that wasn't enough, Xavier went digging a few minutes ago, found one and sent it to Rosie. I thought I was going to die laughing.
  12. I got the lute. I can't believe it, but what is even better, the pets play it. Look at Tiddly Winks.
  13. The only place I have for my bears is a photo page on my facebook page. I don't have a website, because I don't do this as a business, this is just my hobby.
  14. I heard that you can limit who can view videos on YouTube. Maybe instead of quitting, you can limit who sees them. People on youtube are generally rude, just like TOF, but on a broader scale. Look into limiting who can view your stuff.
  15. I know about the headache factor too, I bought one back in November, but was so happy with it once I got it. It was worth the trouble.
  16. The nose is stitched with the same stuff people use for cross-stitch. Thanks so much.
  17. The outfit is a monk's habit, without the hood. I am giving this bear to a Gregorian singer in two weeks when we attend the Gregorian concert in Frankfurt.
  18. One of my friends who doesn't have petlings said that he would display the biscuits in the kitchen. I think they are at least cute, but I don't need a gazillion of them. Too bad these things can't be gifted. Tiddly Winks would be tickled pink to have the perfume.
  19. Someone who commented on the picture said that it looked like the cake was eating Tiddly. It was rather funny. But, yeah, some of the older foods are so huge that it looks like that.
  20. It could have been worse, one of my new neighbors (with a male pet) got the perfume bottle. Hahaha.
  21. nom nom nom. Yeah, Tiddly Winks got into that act and was eating rares too. I remember once Mookie sent me a toffee apple (the original one) and said, she has to eat this. Those were some fun times. Tiddly Winks still manages to get her paws on some rare foods too.
  22. I don't know what to say, that's just awful. Pets are family members, and they are special. Why someone would do something like that just stumps me. It's cruel and in most places would be considered illegal. There should be laws protecting people and their pets. I'm hugging you real tight.
  23. Love your new signature banner earon. I want the teddy bears, but you know me, and bears.
  24. They are beautiful pets. I love watching them. But, sadly they are FBC pets. I have a pair of zodiac tigers and a pink colored tiger a friend gave me, so I will definitely be breeding them for people here.
