  1. Change is inevitable mate-permanence is illusory. I don't care for it either though
  2. Me 2 if its allowed Put yer name down Grumps, no shame in being a part time lightweight
  3. Not much point me camping Dave but I'd like to go for a ride with you all.
  4. Thanks lads. I'm in a hotel in Cheltenham, got the wife with me and a table booked in town for 7:30. Can't start tomorrow's job until 10:30 so a lie in as well.
  5. I saw about 6 or 8 plod bikes on my way back from Scunny yesterday. I guess they were going to Bikesafe. Always enjoyed the one at Cheltenham too.
  6. Ordered today for the princely sum of £7.50. Also ordered 4 spark plug gaskets for the rocker cover ready for my winter service. Should get it early next week. It's a simple screw in job, 30 seconds if I take my time
  7. They could always be prosecuted, now it can be dealt with by FPN
  8. The French hi vis law has been repealed
  9. It felt a bit cool this morning like, until I got darn sarf & the came out. Was nice going to work on the bike though, even it was just a couple of hours of motorway.
  10. I was thinking of riding with my leg closer to the bike in future
  11. Got the part number and if that microfiche is to be believed it's £9.17. I'd settle for that.
  12. I was barrelling up the M1 on my way home from Enfield, when I felt this gentle pressure on the inside of my calf. Looked down to see the plastic fuel tap on the final couple of mm to oblivion. Next thing it's dropped off the spigot and whoosh!! Off it pops. Screw must have vibrated out unless someone's been tampering with it. So I need a fuel tap for a ZZR if anyone's got one in their shed I'll ring Cradley Kawasaki tomorrow I guess
  13. Nice one Dick is that Whernside in the background?
  14. Saw a Goldwing sidecar outfit and a solo Wing today, both on trailers behind motor caravans. 'Nuff said I guess.

I'm rather taken with the Abba stand I bought recently. No need for bobbins or anything on the bike either. It cost £106 delivered.
  17. Back home in time for the MotoGP So, as my unofficial survey of Peak District breakfast venues continues, how does the Yondermann Cafe stack up? Not great TBH. Pretty slow service, and my standard test dummy (bacon, egg & mushroom butty) was palatable but pretty damn greasy. I wouldn't be in a hurry to go again. Not too many bikes outside, this one was the pick of the litter for me. Bought one of these new in 1976. Took the wee road back via Miller's Dale. This is the climb out from the cafe. I passed a likely looking little place in Litton which I may have to try sometime. You might be sure I'd finish up here.... Then over the cattle grids, past High Edge Raceway. What an eyesore that place is BTW, ruins the entire landscape. From there it was A53 south until Longnor, then home along the Via Gellia, which had a camera van on it both when I went out and came back Didn't do any pics as everywhere was minging with cyclists and caravans so just knocked off those few miles to Matlock Bath & the turn for home. About 100 miles.
  18. I was thinking of having a quick blat round & a breakfast butty at the Yonderman Cafe tomorrow. Won't be out too long because, as ever, I'm up to the tits in work which has to be started tomorrow. Any takers?
  19. Already got some but I recommend them to anyone on the lookout for a bit of part time luggage.
  20. Just having a late breakfast before I go up to work. Need to clear some stuff before another big order arrives tomorrow. I'll take the ZZR & maybe sneak off this afternoon.
  21. There's a similar one out that way, near Hay on Wye. It's known as the Cat's Back, looks a good walk, and the northern end is Hay Bluff, good view of Lord Hereford's Knob from there. I kid you not
  22. I've also been close to Lickey End a time or two, but never actually got there
  23. It's the upper Dove valley in Derbyshire, almost into Staffordshire, just south of Buxton. This is Parkhouse Hill, the little sister. They do look sort of sea monster/dragonlike don't they?
