  4. Well she has text me in a panic, supposed to be going tomorrow and she can't find her counter part licence and they won't let her do it without it.......5 months she has been waiting for this and she looks for her documents the day before so she will lose her place and the fee as it will take a week for a replacement...........kids
  5. Thanks everyone! and Mike I know what you mean, she has been doing so many she is starting to see hazards that aren't there which is affecting her score so maybe time to back off a little. when she did the car one she wasn't to bothered, did hardly any practice tests and sailed through first time, think this ones more important to her cos she is panicking! like you Dave did mine a few years ago (1984) and definitely a lot easier Chad, will have a look at that site, thanks! Her practical driving skills are good, its just getting through this video test . Will let you know one way or the other back end of the week!

  7. My daughters doing her Hazard perception later in the week she has already done her car test a couple of years ago but is after any advice on the motorcycle test after all you can't beat the experience of someone who may have just completed it or has some good advice to pass on . ( she has the latest book and done a couple of on-line tests)

  9. My son got a new laptop the other day Lee with windows 8.1 he is only 24 and is ready to throw it through the window, much prefer vista but I think its just cos its so different, all apps and bing on every page and placing the cursor in the corners of the screen to get menus, whats all that about anyway I was struggling with my new phone a couple of weeks ago and now its easy, you'll soon get used to it mate My son on the other hand has no chance, young'uns today no patience!

  13. Well done all some really good thought out answers (especially Mark ) I got it wrong as I said top box (even though I strap mine to the rear seat in front of top box) a lot of you were right thinking weight distribution as this is what the highway code quoted as the reason for the location in the answer, which is ............wait for it........TANK BAG!! all I can say is it must be a bloody big tank bag or a very small HEAVY tent (don't forget it already said luggage already packed in tank bag) there is loads like this and Katherine is trying to learn them parrot fashion and not use common sense
  14. My daughter is doing her bike theory beginning of May so been getting a few questions lately here's one for you....say the answer that comes to mind, No looking up You are about to go on a camping holiday and are to be carrying a heavy tent you put your luggage into panniers and tank bag, where should the tent be carried : 1 ..... panniers 2...... tank bag 3...... back pack 4...... top box I will give the answer tonight, this is from the latest motorcyclist highway code, remember no cheating

  18. Are they mixer/ single lever taps or pillar taps? you can change the pressure of the taps by fitting a different diffuser on the end. Have you got separate isolator valves for hot and cold? is it fully open on the cold? if pressure was ok before and the only change is the taps it must be something with the taps?
