  1. As long as you get sorted for next years forum rideout Chad..........or I may still have our Katherine's er5 lurking in the garage for you to use! anyway hope things work out mate, as one door closes another one opens!
  2. I really hate to admit it but its true, Facebook is very active. I don't know why I visit the Facebook forum there more than here You could join and only use the Hutch's forum and ignore requests from anywhere/one else, it seems a lot of hassle to set up but its not and like here you only post and view what and when you want too.
  3. Great them pictures Dave!....not bad with the old Polaroid are you?
  4. All the best to your better half Chris See you Saturday Mike!

  8. You posted any pictures yet of your dads new bike Mike? Dick personally I like the 1250 especially as you've had a good test ride on one and think its a great all-rounder, its defo the one i'd go for!
  9. Well was going to pop down to see you Mike but at 18:40 the heavens opened and I thought "sod that" hope you stayed dry...ish Mike and picked up the bike ok! Me and Mark were looking at a couple of z1000sx's last week in Billau's stunning condition.
  10. Think we all need second sight more than ever! some seriously poor driving about. Well done done on keeping your cool Ian!
  11. Thats a shame Mike be good to all go down together, but as long as you make the ride-out all's good!
  12. good question young man, right see the rod on the original tensioner set up, that goes into the big bolt in the alloy block which is drilled out like a gun barrel that bolt is locked in position with the big nut against the alloy block, the allen bolt holding the block in the tensioner is then secured with red fast setting Loctite on a single use locknut and tensioned to 75 ft/lb . this stops the tensioner flapping about and hitting the clutch basket , got it. Got it! thanks for the info. Oh "great Oracle"
  13. looks a good fix Ian, one daft question- what stops the block the adjuster is in from dropping and losing tension? is it just the tightness of the allen bolt or is there a back to the triangular bracket stopping the billet block from swinging down? or am I talking gibberish?
  14. Had a week from hell this week and am so looking forward to this! looks a great route Dave.
  15. If I may use the forum to thank Ian for sorting the couple of rusty stone chips on the roof of my car, they might have been small but had already infected the metal (11 plate x-trail) and bugged the hell out of me anyway cracking job mate cheers!
  16. Give me rwu forks any day just ask Mark what a pain changing seals were on his Busa. Always liked the VFR's so I would prob be my choice. Good luck with your new work venture Alan!

Its bad everywhere just been told today we're 200 drivers surplus and the company can't carry them so they will have to go, not sure which depots are gonna be hit yet Anyway keep us informed tomorrow how it went mate!
  18. Me and Mark were there about 1100-1200 but short on time so had to get back your right though not many bikes out Ian very very windy on the tank road
  19. Nice to get it almost sorted Chad! cos the clock is counting down fast for the rideout! Just deciding whether to get new rubber for mine or not the tyres are borderline at the mo so might have to bite the bullet!
