  1. Nothing else you missed Dave.... No one went "off roading"... . . . . . . . ..... Im in trouble now!
  2. I cant seen anything wrong there...
  3. 2 Million people in Brissy, surrounded by brilliant mountain roads. Harleys are very popular, but far out numbered by Sportsbikes. Not even a frost in living memmory. Licencing and training are a bit slack. Put it all together.
  4. I often joke and rub it in about the weather, excellent endless roads, cheap fuel, etc. The other side of the coin ? There are a LOT of bikes out here, a good chunk of them are modern sporsbikes. We have a ridiculous fatality rate. One year recently we averaged a motorcyclist death every 4 days. Thats not Australia. Thats just our little corner of Qld !! We had a death on a ride around the dam's. We had a club member die on the way to our April Fools Run, I know of LOTS more in the last few years. Today, localy, in ONE ACCIDENT 2 died and 3 others were injured in a multiple pile up. This in return puts preasure on the cops to do something, hense tickets for anything and everything to try and put motorcyclists off. Rant over. Sorry.
  5. The girl with the 250 had all the right gear on, Full face, Jacket, gloves etc. When we stopped for lunch she was trying to turn her bike around on the grass. One of the guys started to help her and she just walked off and lay down! .... A bit warm !!!
  6. They havent got a good name out here. Not sure if our's are the same or if its just the folk I mix with. I dont know anyone still using them.
  7. Bit bloody warm !!! 255k's (only 160 miles) Real mixed bunch, 250 cruiser, moto-Guzzi, Ducati Hyper Motard, BMW S1000RR, Aprilia RSV, B-King etc... Nice friendly social ride with friends. Had to have a shower and a few cold drinks as soon as I got in, soaked in sweat in my leathers.
  8. I have seen new replacement frames sent out without factory numbers. Also seen frame powder coated and the original numbers were very hard to find.
  9. Not sure. It might be my sensible tourer, would make a good pillion bike. Then I can get silly with the Busa/B-King.
  10. Took the 14 for a quick spin around the block. 1st time i've ridden it.
  11. Above my front door, about 10 minutes a go....
  12. Not keep on one piece suits out here. I dont run at the drags that often and on a lot of our rides its JACKET OFF as soon as you pull up in this heat.
  13. Storm Trooper or Starship Trooper ? Either way...
  14. Tex (owner) and Bundy (Blue Cattle dog) are from South in NSW but travel up and down the coast a lot. They do huuuuge mileage and work very hard to raise money for charity's.
  15. Decided there's no rush. Going to register it when I get home at the start of June. Only 6 weeks away. GSX14 clocks seem few and far between out here, and a bit fragile, mate has a few "dead" sets. I do like the factory clocks, but Koso will work out cheaper and easier to get. http://digitalspeedos.co.uk/
  16. Not sure if i've posted these ? Out playing with the boys... Marks GSXR1100 Slabsider, and Large's Spondon in back ground. Ben's ZX9R Turbo,
  17. will do whats his forum name ?? Denise is "Rosie" on the B-King forum.
  18. All done except the mirrors and clocks. Looks like i'll get "Koso" clocks when I can afford some. Managed to get a quick "test ride". 1 tooth down on the front, Full Yoshi system, P.A.I.R removed and a Power Commander. Pull's OK. Quite nice for a Porky retro.
  19. Shame your so far away. Hard to find clean, tidy low mileage Mk1's out here.
  20. Sounds Odd. If Oil is coming up one of the bores wouldnt you expect the bike to run on 2 and chuck loads of oil or smoke out of the exhaust ? The cam's/valves/piston are designed to draw air IN through the carbs and push it OUT of the exhaust. How does the oil go the oposite way ? Most motors have a pipe that vents the crankcases into the airbox. This releses any preasure and nasty oily fumes into the airbox when they can be drawn into the motor and burnt. Something wrong in the bottom end (or over filling with s#it lots of extra oil) may "pump" oil up into the airbox ? maybe ? I'd buy it and have a play if the price was right.
