The Year of the LORD's Favor

¹ The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me,
because the LORD has anointed me
to preach good news to the poor.
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim freedom for the captives
and release from darkness for the prisoners, ^[a]
2 to proclaim the year of the LORD's favor
and the day of vengeance of our God,
to comfort all who mourn,
³ and provide for those who grieve in Zion—
to bestow on them a crown of beauty
instead of ashes,
the oil of gladness
instead of mourning,
and a garment of praise
instead of a spirit of despair.
They will be called oaks of righteousness,
a planting of the LORD
for the display of his splendor.
⁴ They will rebuild the ancient ruins
and restore the places long devastated;
they will renew the ruined cities
that have been devastated for generations.
⁵ Aliens will shepherd your flocks;
foreigners will work your fields and vineyards.
⁶ And you will be called priests of the LORD,
you will be named ministers of our God.
You will feed on the wealth of nations,
and in their riches you will boast.
⁷ Instead of their shame
my people will receive a double portion,
and instead of disgrace
they will rejoice in their inheritance;
and so they will inherit a double portion in their land,
and everlasting joy will be theirs.
⁸ "For I, the LORD, love justice;
I hate robbery and iniquity.
In my faithfulness I will reward them
and make an everlasting covenant with them.
⁹ Their descendants will be known among the nations
and their offspring among the peoples.
All who see them will acknowledge
that they are a people the LORD has blessed."
¹⁰ I delight greatly in the LORD;
my soul rejoices in my God.
For he has clothed me with garments of salvation
and arrayed me in a robe of righteousness,
as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest,
and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.
¹¹ For as the soil makes the sprout come up
and a garden causes seeds to grow,
so the Sovereign LORD will make righteousness and praise
spring up before all nations.

Amen to every reply. And You know, TF, have her meditate on Psalms 127. On Psalms 91 as well. The Lord will protect her and may the peace she receives from Him be beyond a description. I agree with Connie's and everyone's prayer. We know how she feels.

Amen, with God, all things are possible, and I do believe and fear God and His word when He says that we are healed by His stripes. So, I believe that the Lord has already set these things in motion, it is just not the season yet.

I think I am going to remember this last decade as the ten days of testing, and 2010 as the balm of Gilead.

yep, I know how you feel. i was without a job for about 13 months and just worked my first day of the new job. Hallelujah. It is a small job, very little pay, no beginning benefits, but the LORD DOES NOT DESPISE SMALL BEGINNINGS. The beautiful part is that when i was fasting and praying and giving thanks the other day, as I was thanking Him for all the beautiful provision, the spirit came on me so strong that I began to shake and laugh. Then the phone ring, and they told me to come on in on Friday. How Lovely!!!! The Lord never allows a door to be closed without another taking its place, even if, say, it is for chastening that He allows it. Or any other purpose. Walk in trust. And I mean trust. I didn't even have a foodstamp or unemployment coming in.

Amen, I had a gate dream, and it was because I kept dwelling on my deceased beloved-the lord told me i had to close the gate and lock it. In the dream, a strong wind kept blowing it open until i locked it to go forward so i could get a release to marry. so i did, and i have been going forward since...

Also, this is how the Lord gets us to practice self-control through the Holy Ghost, because we cannot train ourselves in these things.

yeah, the Lord is just using the enemy's tactics to move you past it, because often with quick temper is impatience, and we need patience in these last days.

Amen, merry christ mass to all, and may the Lord continue to cover you with His grace. Love you all. You all are in a way a great gift from the Lord.

When I think of mother in law I think of being grafted into the family. The mystery between a man and a woman, the mystery of Christ and the church. The wild olive branch being grafted in. Hats make me think of spiritual coverings. Just my thoughts. Please pray about it.

i finally received an answer to my dream of the future helpmate sleeping with the clock at 9:40. The 9 is my prophetic anointing and 40 is the generation that will pass. The 10:00 didn't have a name for it, but that is when everything will be complete and ready for lift-off, prophetically speaking, when my helpmate wakes up and we get it together. the Lord even gave me scripture out of the song of solomon that said about three times, dont' wake my beloved up until he is ready to wake up. when I read that, I knew that the spirit had answered me! My boaz is not ready for the responsibility of marriage and ministry, so he is purposefully asleep and won't wake up until he is prepared to deal with everything. The Lord has already shown him. Nothing that I do can wake him. He must wake up on his own, but it will happen after the passing of the last generation, and we are seeing that now, with all the stars and great spiritual leaders passing.

We will keep praying for her in wisdom and strength and for her to come back once she is strengthened. Remember, Peter denied Jesus, and came back, Judas betrayed Jesus and committed suicide. We all have the choice to comeback, but we cannot keep crucifying christ by repeatedly denying Him. So your friend may be backslidden, but God is married to the backslider. If your friend can deny that Jesus is the only way, the truth, the life, and that he was alive, died, and is now risen and is alive forever more, then she was never saved. But if she does confess the good confession, then she is only backslidden. And what God has is never lost. I pray that the eyes of your friend's understanding is open.
