Rapidly-spreading reports of a heavenly offering and fears of possible social unrest prompted a police investigation. Detectives who arrived in the remote spot soon punctured the theory of divine intervention. "When our officers arrived they saw that the 'fallen angel' was just a doll, it was a sex toy," local police chief Heru Pramukarno told AFP. Villager Pardin, who like many Indonesians goes by one name, found the doll when he was fishing off the remote Banggai islands off Sulawesi in central Indonesia, police said. The discovery in March came a day after a solar eclipse swept across the area, a deeply spiritual experience in the world's most populous Muslim-majority country. This led superstitious locals to believe the two events were linked. Pardin took the partially inflated doll to his home in Kalupapi village, where it was treated with great reverence. His mother gave the "angel" a fresh change of clothes and new Muslim headscarf to wear every day, and pictures showed it sitting up in a chair and accompanying locals on a boat trip. Police decided to investigate after becoming concerned the increasing excitement about the "angel" could lead to unrest. MANY STORIES "We were hearing many stories, such as that the 'fallen angel' was crying when she was discovered," Pramukarno said. The problem, it seemed, was the remoteness of Kalupapi. "They have no Internet, they don't know what a sex toy is." After investigating, officers confiscated the doll and took it to the local police station, a move they said was intended to stop false rumours from spreading. It is not the first time that a sex toy has been mistaken for something else entirely. In 2012 a Chinese TV station reported a rare mushroom with medicinal qualities had been discovered in a town during drilling for a new well, only for viewers to point out that the object was in fact a sex toy for men. Sex toys have also sparked police alerts in the past. Several years ago police in China's Shandong province launched a rescue operation to save what they believed was a woman drowning in a river, only to discover it was actually an inflatable sex doll.

Former Sugababe Keisha Buchanan has claimed that it was not her decision to leave the successful pop group. Founding member Buchanan has quit to focus on her solo career after 11 years with the trio, according to the band's official website. It comes after media reports speculated on a rift with bandmate Amelle Berrabah, who missed a performance earlier this month. Buchanan, 24, cited "a breakdown in communication" and "lack of trust". Writing on social networking site Twitter, Buchanan said: "Although it was not my choice to leave, it's time to enter a new chapter in my life, I've had a great time and have achieved more then I ever thought I would." Berrabah will stay on with existing member Heidi Range and newcomer, this year's UK Eurovision entrant Jade Ewen. 'No arguments' Buchanan added: "Sometimes a breakdown in communication and lack of trust can result in many different things. I would like to state that there were no arguments, bullying or anything of the sort that lead to this. "I have nothing but positive things to say about the girls and I wish them the best of luck." Berrabah recently enjoyed a UK number one single Never Leave You, with urban artist Tinchy Stryder. Buchanan wrote: "Remember my drunk pictures out with Amelle, supporting her on her success with Tinchy Stryder... Oh the shame... "But what a fun night we had, I would also like to point out that I have always supported the girls and they have also supported me." Later in the message, she describes herself as "the feisty, funny, professional, fearless, motormouth". Number ones The statement on the band's website said of the split: "The current line-up of the Sugababes has disbanded. "Heidi Range and Amelle Berrabah will continue as the Sugababes and will be joined by new member Jade Ewen." It added that their album Sweet 7 would be released on 23 November through Island Records, and that Buchanan would continue to record for the company as a solo artist. Jade Ewen Jade Ewen came fifth at this year's Eurovision The group was formed in 1998 by Buchanan, Mutya Buena and Siobhan Donaghy. Heidi Range replaced Donaghy in 2001 and in 2005 Buena was replaced by Berrabah. The Sugababes have enjoyed six UK number one singles, including Freak Like Me and Push the Button. But the last 12 months have seen them release the lowest-selling album of their career.

Ok well as stated, I've now done getting towards 2,000 miles on these Maxxis Sport Touring tyres. Soooo........ Bike is 8 yr old ZZR1200. I ride spiritedly but I'm not a nail it through the gears rider, and I don't look to get my knee down on the local island. I like to think of it as grown up riding. Previous tyres have been Bridgestone 020 (good), Continental Road Attack (better, much quicker turn in and longer life) and Conti Sport Attack (v. nice but went off rather quickly). I guess I average 7k (best Road Attack 8,250) from a rear, 10k front. I use the bike to travel to jobs so am often carrying a pretty heavy tool case on the rear seat and two panniers full of spares, prob weigh 12-15kg each. Having ridden on these Maxxis for a few weeks, I'd say they match any of the above for grip, in fact I feel more confident in my tyres now than I ever have. Turn in is good, not so rapid as Contis, but responsive and predictable. The bike steers better than it ever has, and with a thing this length, that counts! The strange thing is, I feel like I'm leaning more than I've tended to in the past, and my corner speed has increased on roads which I know well, yet I still have getting on for 10mm of chicken strip either side. I've found the edge on all my previous tyres. Motorway comfort and bump absorption, no problem. Can't tell you about wet performance as it's been a pretty dry Spring. Odd rainy runs from work indicate, again, at least as good as the above named tyres. After 2k miles the tyres are still in shape, I'd guess I'll see at least 6k from the rear if not more, which again puts them pretty much on par with the others. In conclusion, I'd say they stack up well against the Bridgestones and Contis I've had before. If they all cost the same I'd go for the Maxxis, so bearing in mind these owe me less than £150 fitted, I'm proper chuffed. Never had Michelin PRs which most seem to rave about so can't comment further. As to wear/mileage, I'm better off than most in this regard as I do a lot of easy motorway miles. I can't promise you'll get 8k from a rear or WHY, but what I can say is that I'd expect at least similar rates of wear to what you'd get from your "normal" tyres. At a potential saving of at least £60-70 to the big boys, I can only say recommended

Tiada masalah. Apa yang mudaratnya kalau setakat nak berkongsi. Lebih terbaik pun bila usaha tak seberapa ni actually menyuntik sedikit racun untuk beberapa lagi pemain memunculkan diri dalam HWCM ni. Rakan se'committee' saya Sinclair juga memberikan dalil bernas yang kalau benda macam ni pun kena ambik pot, maka wajarlah otai-otai HWC.com, Brazil, Rhodes Islands dan sekalian memberi amaran keras kepada HWCM jangan main gambar-gambar kat sini kasi wording sahaja. Isu berakhir di sini. Noktah. Lantas Rayz menyuarakan pandangannya lalu timbul lah sedikit kekhilafan mengenai isu ini. Sekarang, bila Rayz masih mempersoalkan isu ini anda semua mungkin mendapat salah tanggapan yang berlakunya konflik halatuju between UcB and Rayz. Salah! Hi, I have a 2004 VFR VTec. I was going to buy a GSXR 1000 and the main prupose was to blast around the TT course. However, I soon realised that I would want to go for days out and spend plenty of time playing. The downside to the GSXR was the sports bike position. I'm a fairly big lad and I would have to stop very regularly. The VFR fitted the bill with it being a sports tourer. 2 valves per cylinder at low revs and it opens up to 4 valves per cylinder at 7,000 revs. I live on the Isle of Man and we have almost a 38 mile racetrack road (Most of it unrestricted) There are over 500 miles of roads on an island which I believe is about 200 square miles. The VFR is great at low speeds on the two valves per cylinder but it can be an incredible machine when the VTec kicks in at 7,000 revs. I know someone that had two VFR's one after the other. He thought they were great and it was on the strength of his commitment that I went and bought one. I really am very pleased with it and with ABS and DCBS dual combined linked brakes, it is very forgiving. I like the dual underseat exhausts and the pretty indestructible engine. It was marketed as the 'Interceptor' in the States and once you've ridden one, it kinda makes you realise why. (Also goes some way to explain why the police used them and even some unmarked ones too) Here is part of a review which sums it up quite nicely: Engine-wise I love the way that V-four motor makes its power. It's torquey and revvy all at once and best of all, it is smooth. It's not the fastest thing off the blocks thanks to its mediocre 100bhp but it's still fast enough to give you what you need for everything from motorway to fast backroads, as long as you're prepared to thrash it. And if you thrash it you'll find the VTEC coming on song from 7,000rpm and the extra two valves per cylinder burst into life giving the VFR some very welcomé added top end poke and excitement. It's dead handy for punting past cars on the motorway too without having to dance on the gearshift. The only downer is the snappy on/off throttle response from the fuel injection and the way the motor stutters if you try cruising around that VTEC watershed. 105mph in top is 7,000rpm and it ain't a good place to be - best bet is to stay above or below. So she's fun to ride, good looking and useful too. It looks as if that 'ideal all-rounder' crown could be safe in the VFR's sweaty grasp for another year. After all, on top of everything I've already been babbling about this bike scoops the pillion honours here with the most relaxed and comfortable perch of the lot. It is supremely comfortable, only marred slightly by those twin grabrails - they're not bad but not a patch on a single bar affair as seen on the Fazer. The VFR may now be more sports bike than sports tourer, but she's no redlining demon and really is a placcide pussycat of a thing most of the time. Very easy to ride and very unthreatening in her power delivery but as capable of picking up her skirts and tearing into the distance when she feels like it as she is sick of getting you and your chick on hols. You could even happily put in the odd trackday on your VFR and show up a few R1s. Which gets me thinking - imagine one of these all tricked-up for the track, with wheels, titanium exhaust and what have you. Now that would be a tool... Myth has it that only the gate keeper can handle the sword so Rekauzo brought Daniel to this isle to be able to confirm if he was the gatekeeper “Here we are Buddy” Rekauzo said “Get ready” He said but Daniel seem lost in thought. He seems to have seen the place before probably in his dream. BOOM! A loud thud interrupted him. A large rock nearly knocked him but luckily for him. He noticed it early and was quick to dodge it. “That’s what you got for thinking in a place like this” Rekauzo said and immediately He gave him a kick “Whoa” Daniel said as he fell “This guy is really ready for war and I’m gonna show him” He added Daniel stood up with a strong wind blowing around him. He cast a spell and created a ball of fire. “Ready Man” He said and threw the ball of fire to Rekauzo. But just as the ball nearly touched Rekauzo, He disappeared “What! Where is him” Daniel asked rhetorically. “Over here” Rekauzo replied from behind and before Daniel turn back, He gave him a powerful punch that sent him flying. “Aarrgh” Daniel screamed as blood came out from his mouth. He stood up again determined to face Rekauzo with the last of his strength but Rekauzo was faster as he turned into a moving wind using this speed, He gave Daniel punch from different direction. “Aarrgh” Daniel cried as all his clothes are covered with blood. “Take this” Rekauzo said giving Daniel a sweeping kick “Awwn” Daniel screamed as he crashed down. He felt his heart in his mouth, his life drained out slowly but he won’t just give like that. He looked up to see Rekauzo jumping down with his claw sharpen like a predator ready to devour his prey. He looked around to see if he could see anything to defend himself. He saw nothing but one thing a sword embedded in a stone. An idea struck his mind; he could use the sword to protect himself. Using his last strength, He stood and reach out for the sword. Immediately, his hand touched the sword. A thunder blast struck the sword and brought it out of the stone. She fell like a log of wood. “Who is there” she asked with blood gushing from her mouth. She looked around but saw nobody. “Whoop!” she felt something flying towards her. Quickly she did a backward roll and caught it in air. It was knife, looking at it carefully, she saw a mark. It was a mark she recognized, the mark of the angels. Only one person have the knife, it was her father Quickly, she flew down “Dad calm down, it’s me Betty” she shouted and immediately, the light went on…. *** Emmy and others walked down the path with Violet leading with her instinct. “Let’s turn right” Hunter said. “No, I’m leading. We are turning left” Violet said “Right Emmy???” She asked but Emmy wasn’t there with them. They looked back saw no one. “Where ‘s Emmy” She asked Hunter, “I don’t know, he was at the back and i….” Hunter said but was interrupted by a sound of huge footsteps. They looked back, it was a buffalo running towards them. “Run….” Hunter shouted but violet was already distant from him running with full speed. So he followed suit “We lost them right?” Violet asked but got no reply. She turned back and Hunter was no more with her. “Hunter” She shouted. “Aaargh” She shouted as she felt a sharp pain at her back. Slowly she fell down weak. “She’s down” A man said and two creatures flew down and carried her away. Meanwhile, Emmy and Hunter are in a room sleeping and two other creatures flew in with Violet asleep on their shoulder. They are complete now. “Get ready… The battle will start soon Hahahaha” Emperor Kaden said laughing wickedly. *** “5 hours remaining for the ritual to start. Hahahaha, soon we shall rule the world” Lother said laughing as his creature joined him laughing evily…. “Hahahahahahaha” Their voice rented the air…. T.b.c So, the three rangers will battle with Emperor Kaden and his boy. While time dwindle away as the ritual comes in swiftly. Ok, so Wish and Sharon are bringing you the next in the "Real Life" series I think that all of us at C&G have thought about how it would be if we all could meet in real life. I know that some of us have managed to meet up (Kijo and Tanya etc), but what if we ALL could meet in the same place ??????? Any thoughts on that ? Would it ruin everything ? I think it would be a RIOT. So, let me start you off: I imagine you all arriving at my house early on a lovely summer evening. We will have a wonderful apperitif (served my Mr Zoonie and Mr Wish - who I am reliably informed make a mean Gin and Tonic ). Chupa will bring us some far flung "Sunny Island" Cocktails I hope. You can meet my dogs (the famous Pip and Efes) and of course we will swap animal stories (well, Gill, Frannie, Tanya can share their cat tales at least). We will toast Socks - cos we all miss him We will toast "the couples" with my favourite champagne - Boubie & Boogie, Joki & Snorks, Zoonie and Blue. We'll be able to congratulate Kijo and Sophie on the marriage of their pets in person! We have many keen cooks, so we will feast like kings and queens. Found this while searching for something else and it made me laugh lots so thought I'd share... The origins of the cafe racer are buried in 1950s culture, the world was emerging from the depression of the second world war, young people were getting increasing amounts of money and the motorcycle was changing from a cheap means of transport for the poor to a means of showing off for the new young rich. The pill had not been invented and so the cafe racer was a representation of youth rebellion and contraception. The Youth rebellion on both sides of the Atlantic took different but similar routes. In the UK which is a small Island they developed a motorcycle which could not be ridden for more than 3 minutes without severe cramps or injury but endowed it with a 6 gallon tank which is sufficient to travel the length of the Island. In America which is almost a continent they developed a motorcycle which could cruise comfortably from state to state then put a 2 pint tank on it so the looks would not be spoiled. The essence of a cafe racer is therefore as follows. 1 It must crush the riders gonads as much as possible in as many was as possible so that condoms arn’t necessary, therefore making the rider extremely attractive to the opposite or maybe even the same sex. 2 It must annoy as many people as possible in as many ways as possible before it breaks down or blows up and has to be rebuilt. There were many aspects to the perfect cafe racer and these are detailed briefly below, performance was not important but being cool was everything therefore the design parameters of the perfect cafe racer differed from the normal racer in many ways. 1. ENGINE This of course should be noisy in every way. The job of the engine is three fold 1.1 to put the maximum amount of unburned fuel into the exhaust to produce backfires. 1.2 to transfer oil from the sump to the combustion chamber in order to produce smoke 1.3 to produce some residual power for forward motion approximately once per month. The Engine had many parts all of which had potential "cool" value which can be explained below. 2.1 Pistons. Pistons had to be of high compression crowned type with massive valve cut outs. The high compression and cut outs were not a performance feature they were to induce pre ignition so that the engine ran on after the owner turned off the ignition and walked away. 2.2 Pistons.... had to be fitted with worn rings and all oil scraper rings were removed to allow maximum transfer of oil from the sump to the exhaust. 2.3 Valves..... Valves should be big enough to allow small coins to pass straight through. 2.4 Rockers..... At least one rocker should be lightened with a grinder showing a knife edge for high rev performance. To view this, the relevant rocker box cover was omitted which allowed people to view and oil to be thrown everywhere. 2.5 Cams....Cams should be as wild as possible, this is not a performance feature but to fill the exhaust with fuel and then ignite it on the over run (more later) 2.6 Timing.....some cafe racers experimented with electronic ignition but this proved reliable and reduced backfires and so was rarely used. Timing covers were always of the alloy finned type to dissipate the massive heat generated on a 3 minute blast. 2.6 Clutch....The clutch was rarely used but was fitted with springs from a WW2 truck suspension the object was to pull the wrist tendons of any none owner who tried to use it. 2.7 Gearbox. A Quaife close ratio 5 speed with high ratio rear sprocket was the minimum but not for performance. Cafe racers had to leave a cafe and get to thye next set of lights /roundabout in 1 gear so the noise slowly increases to agonising levels. On arrival at a cafe the cafe racer must change gear as many times as possible in a few seconds deafening and blinding customers with backfires and sheets of flame from the exhaust. 2.8 tuning .........All cafe racers were tuned to maximise their annoyance, sometimes this reduced performance but it was a price worth paying. 2.8.1 Carburettors, all joints were loosened to leak petrol over everything. The idle jet was blocked so the owner had to rev the engine constantly. 2.8.2 Carburettors were fitted with velocity stacks or bell mouths on extended inlet stubs this was nothing to do with gas flow but to collect loose coins and keys from the rider and suck in the gonads of anyone foolish enough to hang off the seat. Extended inlet stubs showed off the carbs and made seating difficult they were 100% cool. 2.8.3 Machining ....all joined surfaces were machined to ensure they leaked, a leaking engine was known to be "tuned" The Cylinder head had to be machined to induce pre ignition, cause a leak and ensure the tappets could never be correctly adjusted. 2.8.4 Sump plug. The sump plug never leaked, ever. Oil was removed from the engine past the gaskets and piston rings, removing the sump plug as a last resort brought ridicule to the owner. 2.9 Exhaust The exhaust was the most important part of a cafe racer It had to produce massive noise, collect unburned fuel for backfires, leak at every joint to give the owner a smokescreen at traffic lights. A correctly adjusted exhaust would allow the police to follow a cafe racer without actually moving. 2.9.1 Lubrication.... Cafe racers had to run on Castrol "R" because its stinks and leaves a blue cloud. Parking at a traffic light would fill the car behind with a blue haze for the deafened owners to sit in. Castrol R was the final back up in case police couldn’t find the bike by noise or vibration. 3 Brakes 3.1 Front brake ... must be as big as possible but the only important part of the front brake was the scoop, this had to be big enough to fill the drum with grit and ensure an annoying squeal if ever it was used. In wet weather the scoop should fill the drum with water to allow steam to come out when the bike stops. 3.2 Front brakes had to be 4 leading shoe so the rider had something to adjust outside the cafe. The lever had to be adjusted so that only a baboon with 7inch thumbs could operate it (to compensate for brake fade) 3.3 Rear brakes had to as small as possible and modified by machining to lock whenever used, this proved the rider was on the "edge". 4.3 Petrol tank. This was the key part of a cafe racer. It had many functions. 4.3.1 To stretch the rider out so that all his weight was on his gonads. 4.3.2 To provide a barrier ensuring every time the brake is pressed the riders gonads are crushed. 4.3.3 To hold a weeks wages in petrol (cafe racers were very active but little known traders on the energy exchanges) All cafe racers had the tank secured with a leather strap to allow the rider to rescue his weeks wages if it fell over. If a cafe racer could be picked up with the tank still on it had been badly put together. 4.3.4 Alloy tanks were heavier than standard but allowed the owner to admire the blonde birds chest without being slapped. 4.3.5 fibreglass tanks were light and really cool, knowing you could be engulfed in flames at any time marked you as a danger man. 4.3.6 All tanks were there to minimise steering lock, this was to make everybody move away while you did a 60 point turn to get out of the car park. The ultimate cafe racers could not negotiate small roundabouts they were the true rocket ships. 5.1 Electrics 5.1.all electrical connections were badly soldered so they broke after a few minutes 5.1.1 Headlight, the headlight must have a massive dish, cafe racers were patriotic and carried a searchlight about in case a Heinkel 111 tries a sneak attack. The bulb was only ever fitted for the MOT test. In actual use the headlight had a Christmas fairy light, anything brighter meant you were frightened of the dark and couldn’t remember your way around town which wasn’t cool at all. 5.2 The rear light was never connected to any switches, all cafe racers had the ignition wired into the rear brake switch in some way this could mean boiling the battery or shorting the capacitors. The rear running light however was on all the time and operated as a red strobe flashing at engine speed. 6.1 Riding position had to be agonising at all times, body weight could only be carried on the gonads and wrists, the neck should be bent so far that forward vision was restricted to 30 seconds every 5 minutes. Footrests were adjusted to cut off blood supply to the feet and make sure brakes and gears couldn’t be operated without pressing gonads into the oil filler cap. To summarise, the perfect cafe racer should render parenthood impossible after 3 minutes, annoy everyone within 3 miles of the rider, leave a trail of oil smoke petrol and rubber to allow the police to stop the rider. If a cafe racer is not stopped by the police within 3 minutes and the rider asked "who do you think you are Geoff Duke" it has been badly constructed. If a cafe racer is still running on both cylinders and hasn’t crashed after 4 minutes it is not a cafe racer at all.

Just now reading this today. So interesting. Do let us know what you find out. So many things in the spiritual realm which we do not have answers to. Just be discerning, my friend! I had a couple of experiences I'd like to share. One was on a missions trip in the Solomon Islands. I was spending a few days at a bible school for girls. In the Solomons, there were some who practiced witchcraft, and although I was at this Christian school, there was some spiritual 'activity' there, probably because people around there were open to the spiritual realm, whether good or evil. I felt pretty safe where I was. I was staying in the main house with the school principal and shared a room with another lady. I had a horrible dream one night and screamed—waking me up, my roommate, and the principal. After sharing my dream (someone in the dream was getting their head chopped off—eek!) they prayed for me, and then the principal shared that whenever any of the girls in the school were sick, they'd have them come sleep in this room til they got better. And very often the girls had nightmares when they stayed in this room. (Thanks for the warning.) I have no idea if there was some history of something evil going on in that part of the school, or what the property had been used for before it was a school or anything. The next night, tho I was kind of scared, I also felt somewhat prepared—that whatever evil thing I might dream about I would combat with prayer. I went to sleep. Sometime in the middle of the night I woke up to a snarling, rabid dog standing on the foot of my bed, baring his teeth and growling at me. As real as it looked, I knew it wasn't an actual dog, there was no weight on me or the bed, though he would be standing on my legs where he was. My eyes were wide open and I was awake. I looked right back at the snarling thing and said 'Get out in Jesus' name!' and the dog disappeared, and that was that. No more dreams or 'visions' for me in that room after that. A few years later, I was married and my husband and I were living downstairs at my parent's house. I always left the bathroom light on, it was just outside our bedroom, and even with the door closed it gave just a little light under the door so it wasn't pitch black in the bedroom. Early one morning, about 5 or 6am, the door slowly cracked open part way and I saw my mom standing there like she was just checking on us. (My mom has been a worrier for years, and often has trouble sleeping, so this was completely logical to me that she might be up early and have some concern whether we were OK or not, or maybe she wanted to tell me something and was checking to see if I was awake...) So having just woke up and seeing her in shadow and the bright bathroom light behind her, I didn't say anything for a second, and she closed the door, but I was so curious about what the heck she wanted at 5am that I said 'Mom?...... Mom?' No answer and she didn't come back. So I got up opened the door, walked out the room, through the hallway and another room and went to the laundry room to see if she was in there getting an early start... no mom. Went up to the kitchen where my dad was having breakfast—he worked a very early shift—and asked him where mom was. He said she was in bed. And I said, but she was just downstairs and opened the bedroom door and looked in on me... and he said, she hasn't been up yet this morning, she's still sleeping. I went to my parent's room and there she was sleeping, sure enough. So who looked in the door? I don't know. I just saw the shape of a female figure in a robe and assumed it was my mom—I mean, I really hadn't seen a face or features, because the bright light of the bathroom was behind the person, and whoever it was, was in shadow. But I had no scary feeling, just thought someone was checking in on me, that's all. Theories? Maybe my grandmother? She died in that house... but my grandmother was not the 'haunting' type (IMHO). Maybe an angel? A friend of mine suggested that—as I was going to have some minor surgery that day, and a friend had come over and prayed for me the day before. I don't know... but for some kind of spiritual experience, it wasn't scary. Just peaceful. Someone watching over me is all.

HALLOWEEN The origin of Halloween dates back to the traditions of the peoples who inhabited the islands of Gaul and Britain between the years 600 BC and 800 AD, although with marked differences from the current Pumpkins or the famous phrase "Trick or Treat", exported the United States, which popularized the celebration. Originally, Halloween was not related to Halloween. It was a festival of Irish Celtic calendar, the festival of Samhain, between 30 October and 02 November and marked the end of summer (Samhain literally means "End of Summer"). The celebration of Halloween has two origins in the course of history were mingling. PAGAN ORIGIN The pagan origin has to do with the Celtic celebration called Samhain, which was aimed to worship the dead. The Invasion of the British Isles by the Romans (46 BC) finished mixing the Latin culture with Celtic, with the latter eventually waned with time. At the end of the second century, with the evangelization of these territories, the religion of the Celts, called Druidism, had disappeared in most communities. We know little about the religion of the Druids, for it is not written anything about it: everything was transmitted orally from generation to generation. It is known that the Samhain festivities were celebrated quite possibly between day 5 and 7 November (half way between the summer equinox and winter solstice). They were preceded by a series of celebrations that lasted a week, and gave the Celtic new year. The "Feast of the Dead" was one of its most important dates, for celebrating what for us would be "Heaven and Earth" (concepts that only came with Christianity). To the Celts, the place of the dead was a place of perfect happiness, where there would be no hunger or pain. The feast was celebrated with rites presided over by the Druid priests, who acted as "mediums" between people and their ancestors. It was also said that the spirits of the dead returned on that date to visit their old homes and lead their families into the other world. CATHOLIC ORIGIN Since the fourth century the Church in Syria devoted a day to celebrate "All Martyrs". Three centuries later, Pope Boniface IV transformed a Roman temple dedicated to all the Gods (Pantheon) or Christian temple dedicated to "All Saints", to all those who preceded us in faith. The feast in honor of "All Saints", was originally celebrated on May 13, but Pope Gregory III changed the date to November 1, which was the day of the dedication of the chapel of All Saints in St. Peter's Basilica in Rome. Later in the year 840, Pope Gregory IV ordered that the feast of All Saints was celebrated universally. How big party, it also won their evening celebration or vigil, which prepares the feast the day before (October 31). In English translation, this watch was called "All Hallow's Eve" (Vigil of All Saints), later becoming the forms "All Hallowed Eve" and "All Hallow Een" until you reach the actual word "Halloween". A few years back I had a reference post listing all the tournaments I hosted; however, this was created back in 2014 and a decent chunk of time has passed by then with new tournaments being created. This post is an updated reference list featuring all the tournaments I hosted, as well as the winners of the tournament. A tournament must meet these requirements for being included on the list: 1. I have to be the one that CREATED the tournament / event. Regardless of whether I'm hosting it for one of my own series, for fun, or on behalf of an organization, these tournaments were all created by me. This doesn't include smaller tournaments that I have helped organize or stepped in to organize on behalf of the head TO. 2. I have to be the main TO / one organizing it. This is fairly straightforward, if I'm simply co-hosting a tournament it doesn't count. 3. The tournament has to be completed to get added to the list. Current tournaments and some of the very old tournaments (Like the early noob tournaments I hosted) that are unfinished don't count on the list. Please note that many of the earlier tournaments were hosted on sites like Allisbrawl or Mariokartwii.com which are sadly no longer active. Due to this only tournament brackets and pages that still exist will get hyperlinked as a reference. In addition the tournaments are color coded for their respective games: Mario Kart Wii = Cyan Mario Kart 7 = Green Super Smash Bros. Brawl = Yellow Mario Kart 8 = Violet Board Game Online = Blue Super Smash Bros. Wii-U = Red Mario Kart 8 Deluxe = Brown Other = Orange Tournament names in () are alternative names used on another site. Bolded Numbers = The tournament is hyper-linked, click on the name of the tournament to access it. Fun Facts: -Falcon's Friendly Tournaments were created as a monthly series to hold people over for six months until Season 3 was ready. -The Superstar Showdown theme for Season 3 tournaments was originally going to be a Season 5 theme. Season 3 was going to have a MMORPG theme set up and implemented; however, the time time constraints were too much and I was originally looking to wrap up the series so I scrapped the idea and made Superstar Showdown the theme for Season 3. -There were initially no plans to host Mario Kart 7 tournaments. Although, sometime during August or September that many current participants wanted a Mario Kart 7 series and a few even thought it was a given I would host Mario Kart 7 events in certain ways, thus leading to the Falcon Tour creation. -The tournament series haven't meant to have lasted until now and were supposed to end on two previous occasions. The first date was January 12th, 2013 and the other date was December 16th, 2014. -Certain tournament series had tournaments scrapped for various reasons. The Season 4, MKW/MK7 hybrid series Wait What He's Alive was meant to have 13 tournaments overall and the Brawl tournament series Finem Rixam was supposed to have 7 tournaments with the sixth one being a doubles tournament. Wait What He's Alive ended with 7 tournaments due to time constraints with senior year reducing the number of tournaments I could host as well as Nintendo WFC being shut down. Finem Rixam ended at 5 tournaments due to Brawl's Wi-fi being dead and a lack of interest in the series. -The FxD Center Mayhem Tournaments were designed to be endless. The goal would be creating a basic ruleset which I could host tournaments weekly and even have a few people host it on weeks I wasn't there. In addition there were tournaments held on both Friday and Saturday. Although I initially felt hosting tournaments at college wasn't practical so the series only lasted from the end of May to end of August. -Due to the abrupt end of the FxD Center Mayhem series and trying to finish all tournaments, the last 6 tournaments of FxD Center Mayhem were held for three days straight with two per day. Due to this certain rulesets had to be compromised like changing Doubles to a KO Room Tournament. -The Falcon Kart Finale was originally going to be held in August; however it got pushed to December due to last minute preparations for college I had to make. -Fight To The Finish is the first tournament series to have multiple seasons opposed to only running one season. The reasoning for this was that for the Smash Bros. series I wanted one consistent series opposed to creating multiple smaller series which would involve re-creating rulesets and themes. By having only one series, there would only need to be minor tweaks to rule-sets and there could be more focus on additional content than re-creating a tournament framework. -Fight To The Finish is no stranger for hiatus. Season 1 ended up having a hiatus for three months between FTTF #5 and FTTF #6 due to certain complications. Meanwhile Season 2 for Fight To The Finish was originally going to start in the summer sometime in May; however, it took all the way until January for the series to finally be finished due to work, and generally being busy on Fridays.
