Yep I agree with Desiree! Our future husbands should be modeled after Jesus. He is our first husband. They are are #2. I tell my hubby....you are my #2 and Jesus is my #1. He says the same to me. Lovelywomanofvirtue, I agree with Halo here. Also I see this as being a prayer warrior specifically for the Pastor. One who covers her in blessings and protection and wars for her in the heavenlies. My husband and I were armor bearers for our Pastor. It is something the Lord entrusts but to a few. You were chosen for this task. It cannot be taken lightly. The very success they have and the battles they fight will be won in the battle of prayer long before it happens in the natural. There have been times when I have been praying in battle for a situation that has taken over a 3 year time to manifest in the natural. You co-labor with them in the spiritual realm through prayer. yyoung09, Oh the love of a mother that would want the best for her child is wisdom from the Lord. Rejoice. I would have taken away anything I felt inappropriate for his age or ratings not favorable also. There is so much influence in the world and it is hard to know what we should allow them to see and hear. I would continue to pray the Lord would show you....but also use the God given gift of discernment. If you see something you feel is not of God then don't allow it. Also make sure your example to him totally matches what you are telling him. If he sees you watching these type of things (not that you are but just an example) then it would be hard for him to understand. I will keep the matter in prayer for you. Be encouraged. Ya know I just re-read this article. I have asked myself many times.....I am willing to go the distance. God has asked me , "Connie do you know the cost?". I have answered that I understand the question....but how can I know the cost. How can I understand what is yet to come. How can I understand what it cost him to give his life for me? Am I willing to lay it on the line for Jesus.......this is a good question we should all ask ourselves. it is interesting, while I was reading I was thinking about all the events in my life that brought me to my Lord. I walked through the fire many times. To be honest there have been times when I have thought this is to costly, I just can't do it Lord. The pain is to great. What you ask cost so much. He stretches me often but I know the reason and the reward is being closer to Him and being more confident in Him. The truth is that I could not walk away now. I am in too deep. I cannot imagine my life without Jesus. Where would I go and to whom would I turn. Who would comfort me and love me when the world rejects me and some times for good reason. Who would forgive every sin no matter which one and tell me He loved me. Who would die on a cross and bear the cost of my sins from the beginning of time and the sin of every single man, woman or child from the beginning of time until there is no time? There is only one.....His name is Jesus! I would have to do all that he would require of me. It may be painful but for a moment but the end would mean my eternity with him.
