  1. It sounds like you have WAY TOO much on your plate Christa...in my opinion. Just because it's a "good" thing to do, doesn't mean it's the "right" thing to do. Your prayer should be that God give you "wisdom" on what to take on right now and what to leave off until later. You are still a mother...that is your main priority! Just my most humble opinion...praying for ya!
  2. Oh...as soon as I read this, a scripture came to my heart. Please hide this in your heart in this season. Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal. (2 Corinthians 4:16-18) Praying for you Princess...God is STILL at work, whether you see it or not. Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. (John 14:27)
  3. The concern I have with focusing in on familiar spirits and generational curses is that it puts too much emphasis on the tactics of the enemy. We tend to focus on the influence that the spirits of darkness have MORE than the fact that we are new creatures in Christ. The scriptures that were listed are definately in the Word of God however, when the Word of God says: Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. (2 Corthians 5:17) Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree” ), (Galatians 3:13) In my opinion, if we focus MORE on the fact that we are new creations in Christ and the old things that USED to have influence on us are passed away...and if we focus on the fact that CHRIST has redeemed us from the curse of the law...then much of the "influence" that the spirit of darkness continues to have on those in the kingdom of God, won't exist. As far as the generational curses? I refuse to believe that Christ took on all of the pain and the shame on the cross and I still have to struggle with the curses of generations before me. WE ARE NEW CREATIONS IN CHRIST!!!!! THE CURSE has been settled through the stripes of Jesus Christ. Okay...this is my two cents. Great discussion though...I just felt the need to say this because I've noticed a lot of talk about spirits and curses here as well and wondered why no one ever talked about who we are and what we have through Christ Jesus.
  4. Praise the Lord...it reminds me of Elijah who cried out to God for no rain. God is good!!!
  5. Invention??? Well, since we are in this USB cable era, what about a USB cord that we connect to our heads that automatically downloads our dreams to our computers and the only thing we need to do is get up in the morning, turn on the computer and see the video of the dream. I'm a pretty visual person so for me to see my dream like a movie on my computer would be pretty awesome. This way, we can pause after certain scenes and ponder on it.
  6. Hi daughteroftheking! I am touched my your struggle and you remind me much of myself when I first came to the Lord. I struggled with the whole "man" thing as well and found myself at the altar every Sunday, re-dedicating my life back to him because I was told that if I had any sin in my life, God won't love me. Yes, it was baaaaad teaching and I wish I would have known what I know now. JESUS LOVES US and it's UNCONDITIONAL LOVE!!! We were saved my grace..."For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God...(Eph 2:8)...this means, we can't earn it NOR can we lose it. There is NOTHING that you can do that will separate God's love from you (Romans 8:39) You are suffering from a case of not knowing that you are the "Righteousness of God through Christ Jesus". When God looks at you DaugheroftheKing, He sees Jesus and He doesn't see YOU. Every sin that you have committed and will commit has been put on the body of Jesus Christ so you are FREE from being condemned. When we don't understand that, the enemy has an opportunity to come in and harrass/torment us into thinking that we are failures in God. God's grace goes far and beyond anything that you can EVER do. Does that mean you can just keep on doing what you do? NO WAY...but you will continue in that cycle as long as you don't understand that you are already righteous and that God loves you. What you are looking for in men is God's love. It's innate in ALL OF US! We want to feel loved, but human love isn't enough. I like what MBStudent said..."Human love can not be compared to God's love", it is true. You will have to do what I did...shut "it" down and make a decision that you are going to run after God and leave the fleshly desires alone. You have to fall FULL FORCE into the Word of God because I promise you, when you do, there will be an inner strength imparted inside of you that will keep you from falling back into that cycle. I can't explain how it works, but it does. My issue with that sin has kept me pure for the past 19 years. I don't care how many dates I go on, you won't find me with a guy in that way. This is not just about men, but with any thing we find ourselves doing over and over again. It's the Holy SPirit that leads us into all truth and It's him that begins the work in us and is FAITHFUL to complete it (Philippians 1:6) I have more to say, but I will end here. We can discuss more if you need to, either here on PM. Praying for you!
  7. Your meeting her or having that experience with her is not by chance. In situations like that, pray. God allowed your paths to cross so you can pray. She may not be mentally all there (based on your description), but she is still loved by God. Who knows what she's going through or have been through? Your prayers may be just what God needs in order to do something spectacular in her life. I don't think you are wrong in the way you feel however to keep yourself from turning cold hearted...prayer is the answer...it's the answer to everything. I'm glad you have started your ballet classes!!! Have you started the Pilates class as well?
  8. Welcome Doyle!! More people will be able to see this and possibly give you the help that you need if you would post this in the "SYmbols" or "Dreams and Visions Interpretation" forums. This forum is normally used for questions or information that you may need regarding the board.
  9. Hi Traveller, As I'm sure you already know, fear is NOT of God and it's purpose is to paralyze us. What I have found in my life is when I'm fearful of something, it usually turns out far better than I thought. It's like the enemy built this whole scenario in my mind so I would NOT do it. Not just that, but the thing I stepped out and did ended up being a blessing to a lot of people. So now, whenever fear tries to grip me, I say to myself that it's the devil!!!! For me, that's all you have to say to me for me to move forward because I disdain him with a passion. When it comes to me that it's him, the fear usually dissipates, but it depends on what I'm doing. A little bit of uneasiness is pretty normal, especially if it's something new that you are doing, but meditate in the Word of God...read scriptures on fear and ask the Holy Spirit to settle you inside. You are a leader and leaders need to hear from the Lord. When you are THAT fearful, you cannot hear the voice of the Lord. I will be praying for you...let us know the victory report.

  19. Christa! I've been reading this story in Mark 4 for the past couple of weeks. It is really ministering to me and I want to share it with you now. It is verses 35-41. "On the same day, when evening had come, He said to them, “Let us cross over to the other side.” 36 Now when they had left the multitude, they took Him along in the boat as He was. And other little boats were also with Him. 37 And a great windstorm arose, and the waves beat into the boat, so that it was already filling. 38 But He was in the stern, asleep on a pillow. And they awoke Him and said to Him, “Teacher, do You not care that we are perishing?” 39 Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace, be still!” And the wind ceased and there was a great calm. 40 But He said to them, “Why are you so fearful? How is it that you have no faith?” 41 And they feared exceedingly, and said to one another, “Who can this be, that even the wind and the sea obey Him!” " One of the beautiful lessons that I've learned in this story is that Jesus said, "Let's cross over to the other side". It was a direct comment to where they were FOR SURE going to go. There should be nothing else said or done except focusing on the other side. However, just like any other time when we receive a word or revelation from the Lord, a storm will arise. Even though Jesus was on the boat...the same man they had seen work miracles in their presence...the same Man that healed the sick...they STILL didn't trust His ability. As the boat was filling up with water (vs 37) they panicked. They began yelling out to Jesus because they felt he didn't care that they were perishing. Think about it, if Jesus was in the boat with them, it would have meant Jesus would have perished as well and we ALL know that wasn't gonna happen. Even in all of their fear and their lack of faith...Jesus stood up and spoke peace to the storm. This is a lesson in faith that no one really speaks about. We think that WE have to have faith in order to receive from God, but it's not OUR FAITH...it's the faith in Jesus and His finished word that HE accomplished on the cross for our lives. See, if they would have just trusted in the ability of Jesus...trusted in the fact that he had ALL power through His Father, they could have been at peace just like Jesus was as the boat was filling up with water. Christa, right now, your boat is filling up. Fear is gripping you, but I have news for you...Jesus is in your boat. Your faith needs to be in HIS ABILITY to bring you out. The reason why you don't believe in his provision for your life is because you don't feel worthy of being delivered out of it...condemnation. You can NEVER be good enough to receive from God...NEVER! You are good enough because you are IN CHRIST. God sees you as His Son. When you go before the Father in prayer...you pray IN THE NAME OF JESUS...not your name or anyone elses name. EVERYTHING you need is already in your possession my sister...EVERYTHING! The Bible tells us in 2 Peter 1:2-3..."Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, 3 as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue..." All the money you need for insurance and car payments and everything else...it's already is already yours...he's already said "YES" to you. You just need to trust in all that Jesus has done for you so that it will manifest. Girl...when I got a hold to this message, and really began trusting in all that I already have...the blessings have been effortless. TRUST HIM CHRISTA!!! He's got you!
  20. Well my little sister, you are hanging out with the spirit of despair and that is NOT where you belong. The Bible clearly says in Phil 4:8: "Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things." Nothing that you've said is true, lovely or of a good report...along with the other things listed. This verse says "If there is anything praiseworthy...meditate on these things". IN other words, if you mediate on anything else, you are subject to experience "the blues". What you meditate on, is what you attract. If you mediate on pain and all of your mistakes, you will repeat and cause more pain. Break the cycle by changing the way you think. Call me if you need to! I'm still praying for you!!!
